Welcome Home — Honoring the 50th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War

2025 marks 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War, which concluded with the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. Throughout this summer, we join the nation in commemorating the service, sacrifice, and stories of the men and women who served.

As part of this special anniversary, we’ve undertaken a digitization project to preserve and share Vietnam War photographs. These images are now available for viewing through Recollection Wisconsin, ensuring these important memories are accessible for generations to come.

Too often, returning soldiers were met with indifference or even hostility. While we cannot change the past, we proudly say now and always:
Welcome Home. Thank you for your service.
